چکیده

A vanadium oxide-carbon nanotube composite was prepared by solution-based hydrolysis of NH4VO3 in the presence of carbon nanotubes. The carbon nanotubes induce the nucleation of the 1D vanadium oxide nanostructures, with the nuclei growing into long freestanding nanorods. The vanadium oxide nanorods with the lengths up to 20 μm and the widths of 5–15 nm exhibit a well-ordered crystalline structure. Catalytic tests show that the composite with nanostructured vanadium oxide is active for the partial oxidation of n-butane to maleic anhydride at 300°C.

Mechanosynthesis and mechanochemical treatment of bismuthdoped vanadium phosphorus oxide catalysts for the partial oxidation of n-butane to maleic anhydride Abstract Three Bi-doped vanadyl pyrophosphate catalysts were prepared via dihydrate route (VPD

Three Bi-doped vanadyl pyrophosphate catalysts were prepared via dihydrate route (VPD method), which consisted of different preparation methods including mechanosynthesis, mechanochemical treatment, and the conventional reflux method. The catalysts produced by the above three methods were characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and temperature programmed re...

The effect of the phase composition of model VP0 catalysts for partial oxidation of n-butane

X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, 3’P MAS-NMR and spin-echo NMR indicated that model vanadium phosphorus oxide (VPO) precursors and catalysts contained various minor phases depending oxboth the synthetic approach and P/V ratios used. Raman spectroscopy revealed the presence of a number of micro-crystalline and amorphous V(W) and V(V) phases not evident by XRD. The presence of VOPO, phases ...

Sol-gel Synthesis of Vanadium Phosphorus Oxides as Catalyst for the Partial Oxidation of Butane to Maleic Anhydride

The preparation of vanadyl pyrophosphate (VPO) strongly influences their catalytic activity in partial oxidation of butane to maleic anhydride. The characteristics of VOHPO4•0.5H2O, (called “the precursor” in this paper) are strongly influenced by the reagents, the ratio of phosphorous to vanadium, the nature of the solvent and the conditions of the reduction step during the preparation. Synhes...

Optimization of the preparation procedure of Ni/Al2O3 catalyst for steam reforming of n-butane

Performance of Ni/Al2O3 catalysts (10 wt.% Ni) in steam reforming of n-butane was investigated in terms of n-butane conversion, selectivity to hydrogen and hydrogen yield. The process was carried out in a fixed-bed tubular reactor at 650 °C and atmospheric pressure. The volumetric flow rates of n-butane and steam were 0.1 mL/min and 0.6 mL/min, respectively. The catalysts were prepared by preci...
